Major Project Experience
- Project Manager for several remediation sites for large pharmaceutical manufacturer. Projects included remediation at sites in Sweden, Italy and US. Completed Phase II assessments, and development of Remedial Action Plans and Remedial Action Reports, including sites under the Connecticut Voluntary Remediation Program, and RCRA Corrective Action;
- Provided due diligence services for large pharmaceutical manufacturer for both acquisitions and divestitures. Completed assessments in accordance with Corporate standards as well as ASTM standards, and completed high level environmental compliance assessments.
- Provided environmental compliance and EHS management services such as compliance audits, completion of reports to environmental agencies, and review of environmental management systems to variety of clients, including pharmaceutical manufacturer, medical devices facility, research laboratories, and lead smelting facility;
- Regional Manager for Pfizer Global Manufacturing EHS Division. Responsible for EHS performance at regional sites including: compliance with internal standards, regulatory compliance, and establishment and tracking EHS metrics for senior management. Ensured EHS considerations were included in business decisions including reviewing capital project plans, product transfer requests and site EHS budgets. Provided on-site technical and program support on EHS issues to ensure implementation of company and regulatory standards and to prepare for audits. Provided on-site training for industrial hygiene sampling, environmental, and safety programs as needed.
- Served as an air emissions technical specialist within the Pfizer Global Manufacturing EHS Division. Developed detailed analysis and projections for volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions to air and water. Identified series of specific reduction projects directly contributing to the development of a company-wide VOC emissions reduction goal. Analyzed mass balances at all major organic synthesis plants and developed plans for improvements. Led team to develop fugitive emission strategy and good practice guide.
- Developed a strategy to comply with MACT regulations at a major organic synthesis facility after detailed assessment of options. Identified and managed plan of capital projects and action items, allowing the facility to successfully meet its compliance objectives on time.
