Major Project Experience
- Part of a company-wide team to manage the divestiture of thousands of properties across the country for a global energy company. Assisted with the planning and implementation of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments according to rigid schedules, budgets and safety requirements. Some of the specific tasks accomplished include:
- Financial management
- Project milestones tracking using a QMG-created
database
- Reviewing reports
- Interfacing with the technical consultants and
regulators in each specific market
- Supporting technical consultants in the field
- Conducting safety audits in the field
- Information flow management via a web-based
SharePoint site
- Interfacing weekly with the client management
team to report progress in each market
- Client representative on the technical committee and payment subcommittee at a multiparty Superfund site. Involved in review of technical work product and contract management.
- Managed worldwide environmental database for a major pharmaceutical company. Worked closely with legal representation and outside counsel to ensure all environmental liabilities and associated financials are properly tracked, and significant events are appropriately communicated.
- Managed portfolio encompassing approximately 200 retail facilities for a major oil company. Supervised and coordinated all remedial activities, provided technical document review, developed scope of work, preparated and negotiated annual contracts, reconciliated all monies spent for out–of–scope services, and developed ten year lifecycle costs and regulatory interface with NJDEP Cooperative Venture Program Liaison.
- Senior Project Manager responsible for shared oversight of 70–person office for environmental consulting firm. Conducted monthly review of profit/loss statement, invoice review, accounts payable/receivable, employee training, and annual performance evaluations.
- Underground Storage Tank Management that included the supervision of onsite underground storage tank (UST) excavation activities and collection of post excavation soil samples to ensure proper compliance with state and local UST excavation permit requirements.
- Managed, supervised, and conducted multiple-site remedial investigations. Delineated the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soils and groundwater. Developed viable remedial alternatives, and adhered to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Installed soil borings, monitoring wells, and recovery wells, and completed feasibility studies, including aquifer, soil vapor extraction and air sparge testing, site characterizations, and soil and groundwater sampling.
