Major Project Experience
- Part of a company-wide team to manage the divestiture of thousands of properties across the country for a global energy company. Assisted with the planning and implementation of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments according to rigid schedules, budgets and safety requirements. Some of the specific tasks accomplished include:

- Managed environmental liability for a major oil company in New England, Long Island, NY, Western, NY, and the Washington, DC metro area. A typical portfolio consisted of approximately 75-100 sites. Responsibilities included participating in strategy sessions with the client and technical consultant, reviewing technical documents, participating in regulatory negotiations, negotiating the Scope of Work and contracts with technical consultants, and reviewing progress reports and invoices to ensure that the project remains on track and within budget. Responsibilities also include negotiating with third parties, providing technical support to in–house counsel and technical consultants, ensuring that the project strategy is consistent with the goals and objectives of the business unit, and working with the client's Sales and Distribution business unit to ensure that the schedules for remedial activities are not negatively impacting business operations.
- Project manager responsible for oversight of operation and maintenance activities, report preparation, staffing, schedule, and budget control at over 30 USEPA Superfund sites in Region II and III. Responsibilities also included managing large-scale environmental investigations; extraction and monitoring well installation and decommissioning; coordination of laboratory and field activities; data management; report preparation; and staff, schedule, and budget management. Prepared technical documents, such as Remedial Design and Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Work Plans.
- Project Quality Assurance Officer for over 20 USEPA Superfund sites in Region II and III. Responsibilities included data validation and technical support for Agency negotiations, management of all analytical data, and overall support on chemistry and analytical issues. Created and maintained project databases in Microsoft Access or similar software applications. Wrote technical documents, such as Field Sampling Plans, and Quality Assurance Project Plans.
- Project Quality Assurance Officer responsible for overseeing analytical work for a Confidential PRP Group to support biological enhanced natural attenuation of VOC contamination in groundwater at a USEPA Region II Superfund site in Caldwell, New Jersey. Health and Safety officer for multiple offices (over 85 staff) for an environmental consulting and engineering firm. Responsibilities included the preparation and/or review of health and Safety Plans in accordance with applicable regulations (NJDEP, PADEP, NYSDEC, or USEPA [RCRS and CERCLA]), coordination of all Health and Safety training for staff, monthly presentations to staff on pertinent Health and Safety topics, coordination with corporate Health and Safety Officer.
