Major Project Experience
- Management of due diligence/risk assessment audits for business acquisitions/divestitures and real estate transactions for several Fortune 500 firms. Participation and management of Phase I ESAs, Phase II investigations and compliance audits at over 75 facilities throughout the US. Determined short and long-term liabilities based upon due diligence activities.
- Management of RCRA Corrective Action project at a large jet engine manufacturing facility in Ohio. Project included numerous multi-media investigations including off-site impacts to local municipal well fields, pilot soil and groundwater remediation testing, construction of a groundwater pump and treat system, and managing agency and community relations.
- Management of numerous remedial project sites in Iowa, Nebraska, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer. Sites in various phases of activity including investigation, pilot phase remediation studies, and active remediation including groundwater treatment (pump and treat and in-situ bio injections).
- Management of a petroleum-contaminated soils remediation project adjacent to the Ohio River consisting of the removal of impacted soils from a former fuel loading station associated with a closed petroleum refinery.
- Management of CERCLA investigations and remediation at a 200+ acre former chemical manufacturing facility in Kentucky, a 200-acre closed landfill in Ohio, a 150 acre closed landfill in New York, and three 125+ acre closed landfills in Michigan.
- Managed environmental liabilities and investigations for a major Petroleum Company with over 35 service stations in the State of New Jersey. Conducted technical document review, scope of work development, preparation and negotiation of annual budgets, regulatory interface.
- Provided technical review and determined environmental liabilities for two firms which provided liability transfer products supported through various insurance policies (e.g., finite or cost cap).
- Management of a decommissioning project at a former gas transmission station in Kentucky including field inspections, record keeping of waste disposal activities and preparation of a final project summary report for client documentation.
- Performance of geological and electrical resistivity logging for deep well exploratory operations, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico. Interpretation of logging data and reporting of data to on-shore engineers/geologists.
