Major Project Experience
- Environmental program development, including development of environmental guidelines for Pfizer Inc. to manage and minimize wastes, conserve energy and water, manage ozone depleting compounds, reduce emissions and discharges to air, water and land, use environmentally responsive packaging, and protect groundwater and surface water. Development of the metrics required to report progress toward implementation of these guidelines.
- Conducted over 100 audits of more than 40 Pfizer facilities to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and implementation of corporate environmental guidelines.
- Assisted in the conceptual design, startup, and troubleshooting of more than 75 industrial wastewater treatment systems for 20 different companies.
- Assisted more than 50 facilities to negotiate air and wastewater permits.
- Conducted Phase I ESAs and managed Phase II investigations for purchase of abandoned sites and acquisitions and divestitures of companies and facilities.
- Managed the decommissioning of a pesticide formulation site, including building decontamination, demolition, subsurface investigations, and remedial activities.
- Developed and conducted training programs in wastewater management, spill response, air emission estimations, hazardous waste management, air and wastewater permitting, waste minimization, and other areas.
- Developed process engineering and design packages for numerous industrial wastewater treatment systems in the chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, food processing, health care, and petroleum industries.
