Major Project Experience

  • Managing subsurface assessment and remediation activities, focusing on soil and groundwater issues. Activities have included managing Phase I, Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments, Voluntary Cleanup Programs, RCRA Facility Investigations, Corrective Measure Studies and Corrective Measure Implementations. Responsibilities include:
    1. Serving as the main point of contact
    2. Providing technical support to in–house counsel
    3. Ensuring that the remedial activities are conducted on time and within budget
    4. Ensuring that the project strategy is consistent with the goals and objectives of the client
    5. Working with the client to ensure that the remedial activities are on schedule and not negatively impacting business operations
    6. Reviewing, recommending, and coordinating the remedial activities
    7. Negotiating with regulatory agencies and third parties
  • Worked to assess and document a client's worldwide environmental liabilities, exceeding GAAP and ASTM 2137 standards. Maintained probabilistic environmental cost models for a client's worldwide environmental liabilities. These models were used to justify over $150,000,000 in financial accruals for remedial programs and are reviewed on an annual basis.
  • Serving as site operations manager for two inactive hazardous waste landfill sites located in East Greenbush, NY.
  • Incorporated new technologies to achieve environmental goals at a reduced expense. Received six US Patents related to the integration of environmental technologies within products.
  • Managing an Environmental Data Management System and GIS component, which is used to store a client's environmental records.
  • Managing a consolidated groundwater sampling and analytical program for a client’s environmental sites.
  • Conducting TSDF (Treatment, Storage, Disposal Facility) audits, and addressing environmental liability issues related to business divestitures.
