Major Project Experience
- Environmental program development, including development of management systems, standards, guidelines, model procedures, and performance metrics.
- Conducted compliance/risk assessment audits for business acquisitions and divestitures and real estate transactions. Conducted Phase I ESAs and managed Phase II investigations.
- Managed the decommissioning of numerous industrial sites, including building decontamination, demolition, subsurface investigations, and remedial activities.
- Conducted numerous environmental compliance and management system audits, at both domestic and international facilities.
- Expert witness and litigation support for third–party cost recovery actions and insurance claims litigation.
- Developed and implemented a worldwide environmental program for a major pharmaceutical company. Improved environmental performance as measured by reduced hazardous emissions and significant savings in remediation costs.
- Developed and conducted training programs in wastewater management, spill response, air emission estimating, waste minimization, and other areas.
- Reviewed and commented on proposed regulations affecting the pharmaceutical industry as Chairman of the PMA Air Committee (1993–1994).
- Managed a $30 million plant decommissioning and ECRA cleanup in New Jersey, which included extensive subsurface investigations, equipment decontamination, asbestos removal, and building demolition.
- Developed process engineering and design packages for numerous industrial wastewater treatment systems in the chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, food processing, health care, and petroleum industries.
- Major wastewater projects include process development and operations for a $10 million pure oxygen system, a $10 million Zimpro high temperature/pressure system, and a $2 million thermophilic biotreatment system.
- Wastewater treatment pilot testing, process development, and system design.

- Mathematical modeling of natural water systems and wastewater treatment processes.
